Today,
the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an update
to the Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) COVID-19
data snapshot, which includes data through August 31,2021.
This snapshot provides
information on service utilization by beneficiaries during the COVID-19
Public Health Emergency including data on COVID-19 testing, treatment,
and acute care use; service use among beneficiaries 18 years of age and
younger; services delivered via telehealth; services for mental health
and substance use disorders; and reproductive health services for female
beneficiaries.
