Add-on empagliflozin boosts quality of life in T2D,
hypertension
Using empagliflozin as add-on therapy helps patients with type 2
diabetes and hypertension with quality-of-life improvements, such as general
health, physical endurance, food satisfaction, emotional and mental health,
symptom botherness and treatment satisfaction, suggests a study in the Indian
Journal of Public Health. It also significantly improved their A1C,
postprandial glucose, systolic blood pressure, fasting blood pressure and
diastolic blood pressure levels.
