Physician leadership, support are key for quality care
Increasing costs of running a practice, growing gaps in
reimbursement and other administrative challenges are driving many physicians
out of private practice and into employment at health systems and corporations,
but the shift may come with job satisfaction concerns that could trickle down
into the patient experience. Encouraging physician leadership, reducing
stressors and providing a supportive work environment are vital to maintaining
a high level of care quality.
