Study links foods with flavonols to slower cognitive
decline
A study involving 900 older adults linked higher consumption of
foods that have flavonols to a slower rate of cognitive decline, researchers
reported in the journal Neurology.
Registered dietitian Samantha Heller, who was not involved in the study,
commented that while one dietary element is not likely to be key to long life
or health, "plant foods contain a treasure trove of powerful nutrients
that offer significant health benefits."
