CMS this week granted Florida a...
...Section 1135 Medicaid waiver
request to fight the impact of COVID-19, the agency's first emergency waiver
approval. The state will now be able to provide care in alternative settings,
use out-of-state providers and hospitals and waive screening requirements for
nursing home placement. Florida currently serves 3,988,653 million Medicaid
beneficiaries, with 78.8% enrolled in managed care plans.
