TDI seeks input
on health plan rate review rules
The
Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is seeking input on the
implementation of Insurance Code Chapter 1698, Subchapter N, as added
by Senate Bill 1296, 87th Legislature, Regular Session,
2021. The new law relates to the authority of the Commissioner of Insurance
to review rates and rate changes for certain health benefit plans. It
also directs TDI to establish geographic rating areas. Comments are due
by 5 p.m. Central time, November 18.
