Peer support specialist shares his
recovery story to help others
For
Marine Corps Veteran Vince Bryant, the biggest injury he's had to
find healthy ways to manage is the wound our eyes can't see:
chronic PTSD. He uses his story of personal recovery in his role as
a peer support specialist at the Houston VA to empower other
Veterans to get help.
"Being
a peer support specialist allows me to provide this same recovery
opportunity to other Veterans," said Bryant. "By being an
open book, I’m reaching out to other Veterans and ensuring they get
the very best possible health care from VA.”
