The Small
Business Health Options Program (SHOP) is open year-round for
small businesses and small non-profit organizations! In most states, to
enroll in SHOP health and/or dental coverage, you must enroll at least
70% of the employees you offer coverage to. Note: Some states have
different minimum participation rates; see if this
affects you.
Participation rates for SHOP are calculated by adding the
number of employees enrolling in your SHOP coverage to those with other
coverage and dividing this total by your overall number of employees
offered SHOP coverage. Find out if you meet the participation rate in

If you do not reach the required minimum participation
rate to enroll, you can still enroll between November 15 and December
15 when the minimum participation rate is waived.
