The British government got on the bicycling bandwagon

Why it matters: Bicycling in the UK has risen significantly during the pandemic, and now the government is offering people vouchers worth about $65 to fix their bicycles. It's all part of an effort to promote health and exercise: Doctors in certain areas will be able to lend bicycles to patients, who can keep them if they wind up using them a lot. The country will also pursue measures to make streets safer by adding bike lanes and teaching people to ride. Let's hope people remember to wear a helmet. -- Cathy
