Two divisions of Independence Blue Cross, Keystone Health Plan
East and QCC Insurance Co., have agreed to pay $2.25 million to resolve
allegations of False Claim Act violations. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office
for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Keystone and QCC — which both offer
Medicare Advantage health insurance plans to senior adults — allegedly
incorrectly calculated anticipated plan costs, which resulted in inflated
Medicare Advantage plan bids to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services (CMS). |
