Many Employee Concerns Overlooked: Less Than 60% of Organizations Even Surveyed Employees about Readiness to Return to the Workplace

While many organizations are putting in place safety measures prior to reopening the workplace, only 59% of over 1,100 respondents said they had surveyed employees about their level of readiness and comfort in returning. In all cases, those organizations that surveyed employees provided more safeguarding options for returning to the workplace. Most interesting, however, is the fact that organizations which cared enough to survey employees were much more likely to respond to their concerns, e.g., to implement safety measures specifically for workers taking public transportation (41% more likely than those who didn’t survey), revise work-from-home policies (35% more likely), and provide childcare options (35% more likely).
