US COVID-19 cases greatly undercounted, study claims
The US has recorded over 6.3 million COVID-19 cases and 190,763
deaths, according to latest data from Johns Hopkins University, but a new study
published in Nature Communications claims the number of confirmed COVID-19
infections in the country may have been greatly undercounted due to limited
testing availability. The researchers said US COVID-19 infections may have
already topped 6.4 million by April 18, when the country had reported only
721,245 confirmed cases.
