 US records 1,200 COVID-19 deaths, highest in 2 weeks

The US logged 1,200 COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday, the highest number in two weeks, while daily COVID-19 infections totaled around 34,300, up 8,000 from the previous day, bringing the total number of cases to 6.3 million and deaths to around 190,900, according to Johns Hopkins University data. Globally, the disease has already infected over 27.8 million and killed 904,103 people.
