A San Diego Workforce Partnership report titled "Discarding
Ageism to Harness the Experience of Older Workers" found structural
barriers prevent older adults from entering or re-entering the workforce. The
report offered solutions for the local business community, such as removing age
bias from job descriptions, and recommendations for older workers, such as
getting training on transferrable skills and looking for challenging
assignments.
