Medicare Trust Fund projected to go broke in 2024
The Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund is on track to run out
of money in 2024 in the absence of congressional action, according to the
Congressional Budget Office. "While Congress ultimately bears the
responsibility to pass legislation and guarantee Medicare, industry leaders
have significant influence in how policies are crafted, adopted, and
implemented," writes David Muhlestein, chief strategy officer and chief
research officer at Leavitt Partners.
