Calif. university gets age-friendly designation

The Association for Gerontology in Higher Education designated Dominican University of California an age-friendly school, and Gina Tucker-Roghi, assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, said because of the aging population, a "fair amount" of graduates in health care need to go into geriatrics. Students work with community partners, such as skilled nursing facilities, and university partners include the Council of Aging in Sonoma County.
