New Military and Veteran License Plates Available Jan. 1,
2021
|

A handful of new license
plate options will be available next year for Nebraska service members and
veterans, as well as options for the public to show support and help fund
veteran-related programs. |

Starting January 1, Nebraskans can purchase
the new Vets Get Pets
license plates. Alphanumeric plates are $5 and custom message plates are $40.
Funds from the sale of these plates will go towards a program to reimburse
veterans for eligible pet adoption fees starting July 1 (pending sufficient
plate sales). |

In addition, several new Military Campaign
plates will be available for recipients of the following service medals:
These plates will cost $5
for the alphanumeric version or $40 for a custom message. They will be
available for purchase starting January 1 on the DMV’s Military
Honor plates page. |

A new plate for the Air
National Guard has been added to the Military
Honor Plates and is available to members of the Air National Guard to
showcase their service. |

Finally, there will be a
new plate for all Nebraskans to show their support for the men and women who
serve in the Armed Forces. The new Support
Our Troops plate will cost $5 for the alphanumeric version and
$70 for a custom message, with proceeds going towards Veteran Employment
Program. |
