Humana
has reached an agreement with Trinity Health that gives the managed care
company’s Medicare Advantage members in-network access to seven Trinity
hospitals located in southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
Eric Bohannon,
Humana’s regional president, said this expansion is part of the company’s
ongoing effort to provide additional care options for senior adults in its
local Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO and private fee-for-service plans.
“Increasing
access to care is essential in supporting our members as they strive to lead
healthy lives,” Bohannon said.
Financial
terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Trinity
Health’s Philadelphia-area hospitals are:
- Mercy Health
System’s three hospitals in southeastern Pennsylvania: Mercy Fitzgerald
Hospital in Darby, and Mercy Philadelphia Hospital and Nazareth Hospital,
both in Philadelphia
- Saint Mary
Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa.
- Our Lady of
Lourdes Medical Center and Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in
Camden and Willingboro, N.J., respectively
- St. Francis Medical Center in
Trenton, N.J.
The
agreement also provides in-network access to the more than 700 primary care and
specialty physicians employed by the hospitals.
