Financial literacy, cognitive ability linked in studies
Two studies from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority have
found links between cognitive ability and financial literacy in older adults.
One study found that the more financially literate people are, the less likely
they are to develop Alzheimer's disease, while the other study found that a
decline in financial literacy led to poor decision-making and susceptibility to
scams.
