Medical errors increase 18.7% after switch to DST
Patient safety-related events likely due to human error increased
18.7% during the week following the annual change to daylight saving time in
the spring, according to a study presented at the Associated Professional Sleep
Societies' annual meeting and published in the Journal of General Internal
Medicine. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine has called for elimination of
DST in the interest of patient safety.
