Report: Preventive care drops drastically amid pandemic

A report from the Health Care Cost Institute found use of
preventive health care drastically declined at the start of the COVID-19
pandemic and had yet to rebound as of late June, as many Americans remained
concerned about going to hospitals and clinics. Claims data showed critical
childhood vaccinations and mammograms dropped by up to 75% and 77%,
respectively, at the height of the pandemic, while colonoscopies were down 88%
in mid-April and remained 33% below baseline in late June.
