1 in 5 Americans experiences health care
discrimination
A study published in JAMA Network Open showed more than 21% of US
adults reported experiencing discrimination in health care settings. The
findings, based on a survey of 2,137 adults ages 18 years and older, showed
racial and ethnic discrimination was the most common form of bias faced by
adults seeking medical care.
