Senate approves budget resolution for relief package
The Senate voted early Friday to approve a budget resolution that
will allow Congress to pass President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief
package with a simple majority vote. On Thursday, the chamber overwhelmingly
approved a proposal to exclude high-income earners on a new round of COVID-19
stimulus checks that could amount to $1,400 per individual.
