According to Jade Fulce, a
spokesperson at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the highly
transmissible Delta variant is expected to account for 52 percent of positive test
samples in the United states for the two-week period ending July 3.
That's up from 30 percent of cases for the two-week period ending June 19.
