Partners and Social Isolation
Tuesday, August 24, 2021 1:00-2:00 PM ET
Webinar Registration
Social isolation negatively impacts the millions of people
living with dementia and their care partners in the U.S. These individuals
are generally more satisfied when they have emotional and social support.
In this webinar, the presenters will discuss:
- The importance of emotional
and social support.
- Why support may “dry up”
after diagnosis.
- Why people living with
dementia and their care partners may self-isolate.
- Ideas for families to
foster support.
The webinar will be recorded and available at nadrc.acl.gov. Please direct any questions
to Sari Shuman at sshuman@rti.org.
NADRC is funded by ACL. It
provides technical assistance to ACL and its grantees and serves
individuals and organizations outside our grantee community. The NADRC website provides a range of
materials, including issue briefs, event recordings, and tools to support
service providers and caregivers.
