Many US households face financial issues amid
pandemic
A survey of 3,454 US adults from July 1 to Aug. 3 found at least
half of households in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston are
experiencing serious financial problems and struggling to pay debt and medical
bills amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey found the financial burden is
heaviest in Black and Latin American households, households with less than
$100,000 in annual incomes, and those who have lost wages or jobs since the
start of the outbreak.
