The arthritis drug was previously approved for compassionate use, but can now be administered to COVID patients who require oxygen support, in tandem with corticosteroids. For the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, the intravenous form of Actemra holds covered or better status for 93% of all insured lives under the medical benefit.
