The Trillion-Dollar Club

Facebook's big day earned it another significant milestone: The company became just the fifth U.S.-listed company with a market vaue of $1 trillion or more. All five of the so-called megacap tech companies are now part of the $1 trillion club. My colleague Eric Savitz notes that it could be a while before we get No. 6

Tesla, the next largest company in the S&P 500, has a market value of $647 billion.

Growth companies can amass value quickly, though. Facebook's value has more than doubled since its Covid-era low of $416 billion in March 2020. Here's the list of the 15 largest companies in the S&P 500.
