The
theme for World Cancer Day, recognized on February 4, is
all about closing the care gap. It’s a theme that resonates
strongly with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), as
we’ve always believed that no matter who you are, what your
income or education is, or where you live, all people
should have access to affordable, quality cancer care.
|
If you’ve supported LLS in
the past, you know that your donations help us advance
critical cancer research and programs that support
patients and their families. But they also help level the
playing field for blood cancer patients:
- Through IMPACT Research Grants,
we’re helping more underrepresented communities
access clinical trials to benefit from the latest
advances in treatment.
- With Myeloma Link,
we directly connect Black communities, which are
disproportionately affected by multiple myeloma, to
free multiple myeloma information and support,
enhancing access to care and the latest treatments.
- Through our Patient
Financial Assistance programs, we
offer financial support to underserved patients
through co-pay grants, travel assistance programs,
and urgent need programs.
We’re working to close the
care gap, but we can’t do it alone. As we approach World
Cancer Day, please support our efforts in research,
education and support, and advocacy to give all patients
a fighting chance.
