The CEO of Community
Health Choice in Houston abruptly stepped down April 11, according to the Houston Chronicle.
CEO Ken Janda resigned
after helming the health plan for more than 10 years. Community Health Choice
does not have an immediate replacement. Its board has begun searching for an
interim CEO and will launch a search for Mr. Janda's successor.
The change was announced in a companywide email after the health plan's board "reached a mutual agreement with CEO Ken Janda that he will step down effective immediately," according to the report.
During Mr. Janda's tenure, he led the 22-year-old nonprofit payer's expansion across the region. It now covers 400,000 members.
