Program for uninsured patients with COVID-19 lacking

A federal program is supposed to cover the costs of COVID-19 testing and care for uninsured people, but some hospitals and health care providers are not participating in the program at all, and others have billed patients by mistake. Many patients have been denied coverage because COVID-19 was not their primary diagnosis, and the program does not cover treatment of underlying chronic conditions.
