A CDC study found that as many as 6% of health care workers at 13
US hospitals had COVID-19, but almost 30% of them were asymptomatic and could
have unknowingly spread the disease. The findings, based on antibody tests from
3,248 nurses, doctors and physician assistants, suggest enhanced screening and
other protective measures in hospitals could help reduce COVID-19 transmission,
researchers noted.
