Study: Medicaid expansion reduces coverage disparities
An analysis of studies by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that
Medicaid expansion did not eliminate health care coverage disparities, but most
studies showed having a bigger insurance safety net reduced them. Black and
Hispanic populations were more likely than other minority groups to have an
increase in health care coverage due to Medicaid expansion, especially for
people with cancer.
