Moon river!!! Colorectal cancer screening was
recommended for 45 year-olds
Why it matters: This might be an uncomfortable story, but
the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is recommending lowering the age for
routine colorectal cancer screening from 50 to 45 years old. The average age of
CRC patients is getting younger with the under-50 set expected to account for
about 12% of all CRC cases this year, according to the American Cancer Society.
