Join the Office of Minority Health for the 2021 Virtual CMS Quality Conference

The CMS Quality Conference will be virtual this year and take place March 2-3, 2021.  Join the CMS Office of Minority Health (CMS OMH) to discuss health equity!

Grand Plenary Session
Dr. LaShawn McIver, OMH Director, will address “Driving an Equitable Health Care System: CMS’ Role in the Health Equity Movement” on Tuesday, March 2 from 11:00 - 12:30 pm ET.

Health Equity Sessions
There will be two sessions focused on health equity and population health, covering the following topics:

Advancing Health Equity & Improving Health Care Access and Maintenance

  • Session: COVID-19 Response and Recovery: Identifying and Addressing Health Inequities
  • March 2, 12:45 – 1:45 pm ET

Addressing the Cause of Health Disparities

  • Session: Health Equity as a "New Normal": CMS Efforts to Address the Causes of Health Disparities
  • March 3, 2:45 – 3:45 pm ET

Health Equity Technical Assistance
Stop by our virtual booth to learn more about our offerings of health equity technical assistance. This is a great opportunity to spread the word and hear how to reduce disparities among those you serve.  We will explore how your program can identify, track, and act on disparities.  We’ll be on hand to:

  • Answer questions
  • Share our interactive data and web-based tools
  • Talk about community outreach and Disparities Impact Statements
  • Help you learn what you can do after the conference.
