As health care providers prepare to vaccinate an estimated 1.3 million Minnesotans with qualifying health conditions, new questions were raised Monday by a federal vaccine advisory panel that some states were defining eligibility too narrowly, resulting in differing policies. State health officials reported Tuesday that 53% of Minnesota seniors have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. They hope to get that number up to 70% by the end of the month in order to move on to the next phases of vaccinations.
