The Texas Health and Human Services Commission canceled...
...its
Request for Proposals (RFP) last week, after finding disqualifying issues in
nearly half of its bids from insurers to manage benefits for members of the
STAR+Plus and STAR Kids Medicaid programs. Nearly 4.1 million people receive
full Medicaid benefits in Texas, including 497,782 STAR+Plus members, and
151,301 STAR Kids members. State officials said current contracts will be
extended.
