Virginia unveiled plans last week to...
... add work requirements and small premium
payments to its new Medicaid expansion population. Medicaid expansion will not
begin in the state until January 2019, and the new requirements potentially
won’t hit for another two years. As of July, 997,151 people were enrolled in
Medicaid and CHIP in Virginia. The state estimates another 400,000 people will
enroll under Medicaid expansion.
