CMS last week approved...

...Nebraska's latest Medicaid waiver request, which will add voluntary work and wellness requirements to the state's new Medicaid expansion population. Participants who meet the new requirements, which include completing an annual health risk assessment and attending an annual health visit, will receive additional Medicaid benefits, such as dental, vision and over-the-counter drug coverage. In April 2022, the requirements will expand to include 80 hours per month of "community engagement activities" to maintain the additional benefits. Nebraska currently serves 260,031 Medicaid beneficiaries, with 96% enrolled in a managed care plan.
