Biden gets COVID-19 vaccine, top health officials to
follow
US President-elect Joe Biden received his first dose of Pfizer and
BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine on live television Monday as part of efforts to
increase confidence in the vaccine's safety, and he credited the
administration's Operation Warp Speed program for its work on the vaccine. HHS
Secretary Alex Azar, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
Director Anthony Fauci, and NIH Director Francis Collins are scheduled to
publicly receive a dose of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine today.
