Some vaccines are OK to receive during cancer treatment, when the immune system is weak, but some vaccines, such as live virus vaccines, should not be given during cancer treatment. The COVID-19 vaccine is not a live virus vaccine. Talk with your cancer care team about whether the COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for you.
