Health Insurance Marketplace Calculator

KFF has updated its Health Insurance Marketplace Calculator to include local data on the 2020 health plans being sold through Affordable Care Act marketplaces during the annual ACA open enrollment period that began today, Friday, Nov. 1.

Consumers can generate estimates of their health insurance premiums and the federal subsidies they may be eligible for when purchasing insurance on their own in the ACA marketplaces. The interactive tool can also help users learn whether they may be eligible for Medicaid.

Also available are new state-level estimates of how premiums are changing for ACA benchmark plans and lowest-cost plans in every metal tier in all 50 states and Washington D.C. in 2020. (Interactive)
