CDC addresses COVID-19 vaccine allergic reactions

As the FDA investigates about five instances of adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, the CDC has issued recommendations addressing the risk of allergic reactions. The CDC said those who suffer a serious reaction after receiving the first dose should not get a second dose, while those with a history of allergic reactions to vaccines should talk with a health care professional before being inoculated.
