Experts at Brigham Health say the virtual care trend driven by the
COVID-19 pandemic will continue after the crisis but health care organizations
have work to do to balance in-person and telehealth visits and ensure quality
of care. Some best practices include developing criteria for triaging and
scheduling, optimizing virtual care to meet clinician and patient needs,
identifying key performance indicators and paying attention to the patient
experience.
