AAP reports 22% drop in new pediatric COVID-19 cases
A report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the
Children's Hospital Association showed 165,000 new pediatric COVID-19 cases for
the week ending Jan. 21, a drop of nearly 22% from the previous week's 211,000
cases. Total diagnosed pediatric cases for the pandemic have reached just over
2.67 million, which is 12.7% of all reported COVID-19 cases reported by 49
states, excluding New York, as well as the District of Columbia, New York City,
Puerto Rico and Guam, the groups noted.
