Ky. Medicaid plan aims to bolster hospital finances
The CMS approved a Medicaid plan to pay Kentucky hospitals from
$800 million to $1 billion more annually for inpatient care if they agree to
new quality measures developed by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services
and the Kentucky Hospital Association. The Kentucky Legislature still must
approve the program, which is aimed at shoring up finances at struggling
hospitals in the state.
