Racism and Gender Inequity among Most Important Social
Changes Issues across Generations and Genders |
Racism and gender inequity were ranked as the top two most
important social changes issues across all generations of employees,
according to recent research from The Conference Board. Similarly, among
women and men, racism was ranked as the top social change issue. Women,
however, were more likely than men to cite gender inequity as one of the
three most important issues to them personally; gender inequity showed the
largest gap between women and men—a 32 percent difference. The second largest
gap was for unemployment, with men placing a higher importance on unemployment
than women (a 12 percent difference). |
