At least 12% of US may be protected from COVID-19
An analysis of data on vaccine coverage and the number of people
who have recovered from COVID-19 showed that about 12% --- and possibly up to
33% -- of the US population may currently have protection against the novel
coronavirus. Given that about 6% of the population has received at least one
vaccine dose and possibly up to 25% of the population has immunity after
infection, 1 in 3 Americans could currently have at least partial protection
against the disease, according to the CNN analysis.
