Biden takes action against COVID-19 on first day in
office
During his first day in office, President Joe Biden signed a
number of executive orders signaling his administration's committed approach to
tackling the COVID-19 pandemic. The actions signed by Biden include a mandate
requiring face masks and physical distancing on all federal properties for the
next 100 days and orders to create a new White House COVID-19 Response Team,
restore the National Security Council's global health security directorate and
halt the country's exit from the World Health Organization.
