Rep. Neal wants to raise RMD age to 75
Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., chairman of the House Ways and Means
Committee, said he will reintroduce the Securing a Strong Retirement Act of
2020, a bill that, among other things, would raise the age at which people must
take required minimum distributions from 72 to 75. Neal said he also has other
retirement-related priorities, including strengthening Social Security and
implementing automatic enrollment in IRAs and 401(k) plans.
